August 2011This year's trip was great - a nice blend of multi-generations. We had a father-son pair, a father-daughter duo, a husband-wife team and an grandfather-grandson and uncle threesome! The bugs were all gone and the weather pristine! |

August 2010This group was was an all-boys group. Everyone had a great time except our guides who have promised themselves to never again take a group of only teenage boys with them! There will be more adults on next year's trip. |

August 2009Although the group size was a bit smaller this year, everyone had just as much fun! Our new assistant guide, Dick Sanderson (Bill Sanderson’s cousin) caught a huge Northern Pike and some of the other team members caught some enormous Wide-Mouth Bass! We had our first father-daughter duo on the trip (which worked out wonderfully) — Julia says she can’t wait to go back to the Boundary Waters again. Mr. Sanderson’s grandson, Atticus, also went on the trip and this was his first year in the Boundary Waters as well! |
August 2008Our six member team paddled out into the US/Canadian Boundary Waters for a five day canoe trip. Our team made their base camp on Rabbit Lake and enjoyed beautiful weather and unusually smooth waters during the trip. We also enjoyed the crackling of a campfire in the evenings because there was a wet summer and therefore no fire ban as in years past. The unusually high numbers of mosquitoes were countered by the many wild blueberries, creating a bittersweet experience! The oldest participant was 79 years old. Great job Chuck! |

August 2007Eight people participated in our five day canoe trip in the BWCAW with a father-son contingent that spanned three generations! High spirits and strong backs enabled the team to push through stiff head winds and white capped waves on Lake Saganaga on our way back to the Gunflint Trailhead! Beautiful weather greeted the jovial team everyday with only a short downpour of rain one evening which produced a lovely rainbow. |

August 2006Our nine eager adventurers set out in a downpour of rain which continued for the better part of the day until arriving at their base camp on Lake Ester. The rest of the trip was beautiful with sunny skies and cool breezes. Fishing was excellent with some of the largest Northern Pike ever caught on one of our museum sponsored canoe trips. |
