We offer fun, hands-on children’s programming and family programming for all ages in addition to our guided tours! Check out the full list of programs we offer below!

Simply S.T.E.A.M. 

Simply S.T.E.A.M. is a science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics based educational program that meets once a week from 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. for 28 weeks divided among two semesters. It is a program for home-educated students who are in 4-12th grade who would like to participate in hands-on learning in a classroom setting.

Super Science Saturday

Each month, a new topic is discovered throughout the day. The day is filled with awesome hands-on learning opportunities that give every participant a full dose of that month's topic. If you want a great inexpensive family day of learning and fun, this is definitely it!

Educational Days

An Educational Day is a personalized day that is created around the learning goals you have in mind for your group. These days are custom and can involve many exciting learning opportunities that you might not get in an already set programming option.

With so many learning tools and specialized programming, we can create fun learning on just about every topic. We love geology, paleontology, zoology, astronomy, ecology, chemistry, biology, physics, and more!

Overnight Lock-Ins

An Overnight Lock-In is a program for groups that allow for an evening of learning fun paired with an overnight stay at the center.

We do Overnight Lock-Ins for camp groups, day cares, schools, Scout groups, Sunday School groups, and even youth groups. If you are looking for something special for the ones you lead, we have what you need.

Adventure Trips

Here at the Akron Fossils and Science Center, we love to explore the outdoors and learn from the wilderness. Each year, we put a few Adventure Trips together to help participants experience the world around them in a unique way. Interested in taking a trip with us?
